Quarter Two

Week 11: Nov 14 - Nov 18
Finish all work on Chapters 4 & 5. One concern I have at this time is that some of you folks are not getting
getting on the websites early enough to allow feedback from each other. My strong suggestion is that when given reading and questions, you get right on it lets considerWednesday our first due date and then you have Thursday to get back on the website and read and learn from each other, to comment on your classmates responses.
During our weekly meeting we will look back at our frog experiments and try to see how consultants hired be to poke holes in original scientists. We will meet at 1:00 PM on Saturday, Nov 19 at CHS.

Weeks 12 & 13: Nov 21 - Dec 2

1.At our next meeting my expectations is that you will have read and responded as instructed to the Scientific Journal article assigned on Friday Nov 18. My expectation is a well written, and thoughtful piece that:
a. Summarizes the scientists work.
b. Summarizes what the scientists learned.
c. Put your self in the role of a researcher on the team, what do you think it would be like to be part of that team.
d. Come up with some thoughtful questions, either things you did not understand or next steps you think could be taken.

2. Additionally I would like you to write up the lab we do on Saturday the 19th. If you participate in the lab on Saturday, you can pair up with someone else and write one lab. Those of you who can not make our meeting on Saturday should see me so we can schedule a time for you to come in a do the lab.

3. Remember our next meeting is the first meeting in the month of December therefore you will need to come with a story from Living on Earth to share.
Weeks 14 & 15: Dec 2- Dec 9
1. Week of Dec 2,we met with the Earth Service Club students and learned a bit about solid waste and the recycling issues here in Concord.
